Foundation Home | Donate | Grants Made | Trustees About Us The Lakewood Masonic Foundation is organized for the purposes of Historic Preservation, Charity and Education.
The primary focus of the Foundation is the restoration and preservation of the Lakewood Masonic Temple in Lakewood, Ohio. Funds raised for this purpose are granted to The Lakewood Masonic Temple Company for qualified projects which assist in restoring and maintaining the building in its original historic condition.
The Foundation makes charitable and philanthropic grants from funds raised for these purposes.
The Foundation makes education and scholarship grants from funds raised for these purposes. Legal and Tax Status The Lakewood Masonic Foundation was incorporated on October 16, 2003, in the State of Ohio. The United States Internal Revenue Service has determined that the Foundation is exempt from federal income tax as a 501(c)(3) organization; more particularly, a public foundation. Donors may deduct contributions to the Foundation for federal income tax purposes to the extent permitted by law. Bequests, legacies and similar gifts are deductible for federal estate and gift tax purposes to the extent permitted by law. The Foundation is registered with the Attorney General of Ohio under the provisions of the Ohio Charitable Trust Act. |
